As a child having contact...

The contact centre is there to provide a place where you can meet a relative who has been given the right to see you.

Why do contact centres exist?

Sometimes people who used to like each other stop liking each other.

They don't like to talk to each other but they have something in common - you.

They need somewhere to go so that you can see one person without the other being there.

The contact centre gives them that place.

In the centre, there are lots of toys, books, and games.

You can bring your own toys if you want.

We will also give you a drink.

We have orange juice, apple juice, water, and flavoured water.

Just remember to put your litter in the bin.

Safe and secure.

The door in the contact centre has a security lock on it.

Other adults and kids.

There are two rooms.

One is a large play area and the other is a smaller room with sofas.

There are other families in the contact centre.

Other children will be there who maybe the same age as you and will know what you are going through.

You can play with them. Contact isn't a lonely experience.

Don't feel threatened by the volunteers, they don't bite!

If you want to ask them something or if there is a toy you want then they will help you. They will also get fruit juice.
