Please read this information before making a request to use the centre. The Renfield Centre Child Contact Centre offers a neutral venue for contact visits. We are open on Saturday from 10.00am until 2.00pm for contact visits in the centre. For families who wish to use the centre as a handover point only the centre closes at 3.00pm. As of July 2008, the contact centre will be open on a Friday between 16:00pm and 18:00pm in addition to the current opening hours. The centre is independent of the courts and is supported financially by the fees paid by users of the centre, fund raising efforts of staff, users, and friends of the centre. We are currently in receipt of a grant from BBC Children in Need to assist with the premises rent salary and administrative costs. The centre has a part time administrator and a Saturday co-ordinator who are our only paid staff. All other staffing is done by volunteers. Places are offered subject to availability and at the centres discretion. Please consult us before any court order is made. We will do our best to offer places appropriate to your clients needs however please bear the following in mind when requesting a place:
