ABOUT THE VISITS

Are visits supervised?

No. Although there are volunteers within the room at all times, they do not supervise visits. Under no circumstances should you consider the visit to be supervised. Please refer to the Renfield Child Contact Centre terms & conditions for more information.

Can a third party be allowed to be part of the contact?

If both parties are agreeable, a third party may be allowed to sit in the contact centre during contact. However, they cannot make any reports to anyone about the contact visit unless specifically agreed with the contact centre before the visits begin.

We don't want to meet. Can you help us?

Yes. The contact centre will be more than happy to accommodate parents who do not wish to meet.

  • Contact us for more details.

  • Arrangements will be made when the place is confirmed.

  • On returning, the adult who brought the child will be asked to wait in the waiting room. The child will be brought out by one of the volunteers.

  • Once the child has left, the person having contact will wait at least five minutes before leaving.

  • We cannot control what goes on outside the contact centre rooms. The church centre is a public building and therefore anyone can use it.
